HEXAGON Leitz PMM-G
Leitz PMM-G – Worlds largest high precision CMM & gear inspection system
The Leitz PMM-G provides highest accuracy and a highly enhanced throughput for large-size XXL workpieces. These workpieces are used for example in aircraft and aerospace industries or in ship engine constructions. Also the measurement of large gears used in wind turbines is possible. Despite such large measuring strokes, the Leitz PMM-G reaches a precision and performance level, which is usually common with much smaller 3D measuring machines.
With the Leitz PMM-G, the probing frequency, acceleration, maximum speed and scanning performance are significantly enhanced.
The Leitz PMM-G features the Overhead Design with integrated U-shaped foundation for highest accuracy and high throughput. As a result, all moving masses have been minimized.
The X axis is equipped with dual drive motion systems and transducer systems. The PMM-G features also the Leitz LSP-S2 scanning probing system. This probe head measures very precisely even with long and heavy styli. Styli configurations of up to 800 mm and 1000 g are possible.

GLOBAL eXtra – Large scale bridge CMM
The GLOBAL eXtra can accommodate large and heavy workpieces without the need for special foundations. The GLOBAL eXtra, designed for measurement in the production environment, features ACTIV® structural thermal compensation, bellow covers on X and Y guideways and operating temperatures up to 30°C. For unlimited access to hard-to-reach features, these larger size GLOBAL CMMs can be equipped with HH-ACW-43MW continuous wrist.
GLOBAL eXtra has been designed to meet the specific requirements of dimensional inspection of car body components in a shop environment. To this purpose, this CMM is characterized by an isostatic steel workbench at a lower height from the ground and with stabilized temperature, larger measuring ranges and wider daylights, a vertical ram of sintered silicon carbide, structural temperature compensation and protection bellows on the X and Y axis. The operating temperature range is 15 to 30 °C. For a better system, flexibility, GLOBAL eXtra offers full compatibility with the HH-ACW-43MW continuous wrist and the DEA FIVE U-nique flexible fixturing system.

DEA ALPHA 2.0 is an all-purpose gantry coordinate measuring machine (CMM) suited to the dimensional inspection of large workpieces such as castings and machined parts. HEXAGON Leitz PMM-F
Leitz PMM-F 30.20.10/16 – High performance CMM & gear inspection centre
Leitz PMM-F 30.20.10 and 30.20.16 measuring machines – where accuracy meets throughput. The PMM-F is designed to inspect medium sized components and gears not only with maximum accuracy, but with a high throughput as well. The spindle drive design combined with an overhead structure with minimized mass allows measuring velocities previously unthinkable for measuring machines of this size.
The Leitz PMM-F is a high-accuracy monolithic gantry measuring machine for medium sized workpieces. It achieves high throughput with highest possible accuracy on the shop floor or in the measuring room. The PMM-F is also available with a large measuring volume of up to 9.6 m3. It does not require costly foundations and can therefore be easily moved. Every Leitz PMM-F measuring machine is equipped with an integrated active vibration damping system.
The Leitz LSP-S2 high performance probe head allows High-Speed-Scanning and can handle stylus length of up to 800 mm.
